A Wonderful Weekend

Saturday night, we had our Family over for Dinner. We get together every Christmas to exchange presents with my Aunt Nancy, who goes away to her home for the HolidayNanny and Pop with Hunter and Hannah, their GREAT grandchildren
Uncle Mark with Aunt Kitty
Aunt Nancy, trying out her new Cat Pillow. She loves ANYTHING cats.
"Christmas, Through The Eyes Of A Child"
Hunter and Hannah were in the Kid's Christmas program at Church Sunday. Hunter is wearing the red wrap with a yellow hat. Hannah is playing Baby Jesus.
Angels You can tell Hunter wasn't feeling good. He's got a bad cough and cold.
All the kids did a great job on the program! It was really cute.
After Church, we came home and had lunch with my In Laws. They were watching my SIL's little girl. Hunter and his cousin wore themselves out playing so they layed down to rest in our den, while watching Cars.
After lunch, dessert and some coffee, we went to the mall to get pictures taken with Santa and to get Hannah's ears pierced.
Waiting for Santa
Little K started out shy but then, she really enjoyed seeing Santa!
Here's Hannah and I, right before she got her ears pierced.
I'm getting very nervous at this point....

Hannah wasn't making any noise so where I was, I couldn't hear anything or see her face. This was one of those, catch your breath, not making a sound yet , getting ready to scream faces. But all she did was whimper and then, she was fine as soon as I picked her up and held her. She did better than I did. I, actually cried a little. I thought she was going to scream for real. Maw Maw and Pa Pa took the kids and went for a walk.
This picture was just seconds after and she was over it already! She did great!
The kids ran into a friend from the Daycare and they played together in the food court.
Hannah, asleep in her bed, with her new earrings.
She got small gold ball earrings. She's so sweet!
It was just a wonderful weekend with family and the kids. We really got to relax and have some fun. Unfortunately, Hunter's cold and cough are worse and he's running a fever. He's really not feeling well at all so we're going to get him feeling better before Christmas. The poor guy, I just hate to see them hurt.
Well, take care and have a great Monday!!

I received this in an email and it was such a good reminder of what's important. It's not all about Visiting Santa at the mall, finishing up the shopping, making it to all the festivities but celebrating the wonderful birth of Jesus. May God bless you during this Holiday Season.

Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. And then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.

The Stockings Were Hung...

The Stockings were hung...
Mickey and Minnie stockings for us, Lightening McQueen and The Princesses for the kids I was hoping to get some new stockings for us this year. I looked in Disney and they had no matching ones. They had girlie styles but none for little boys. I found these at JCPenney, after getting home and on sale. We hadn't gotten any new ones for some time and I LOVE these.

This is "Hunter's shelf". He LOVES his Jingle Bell Rock Santa, which was, actually, a wedding present from a good friend of ours. He could dance all day to it. Then, there's the Veggie Tale Nativity Set that we bought a couple years ago from Agape. He loves it. When you hit the star up top, it sings. The last decoration is a train that lights up and goes around in a circle. It's really cute. Hannah likes the lights.

Well, gotta run. We're having our family over for Dinner tonite. My aunt goes away every year for Christmas so it gives us a chance to see her and exchange presents. I have to color my hair before a hair appointment this morning and then, coming home to get ready. Tomorrow, I'll pick up the last couple gift cards I need and I think we're taking the kids to see Santa. We may get Hannah's ears pierced tomorrow too. We'll see... Monday, we're having our Family Picture taken and then, we're done.

Hope you have a great weekend and God Bless. Please keep the family of Caylee Anthony in your prayers. I can't stop thinking about them and what they must be going through.

Lightening McQueen and Mater Visits

"Wow, Mom... MATER"
Hunter was SO excited to see McQueen and Mater at Disney. He couldn't wait to get his picture taken with them!
"I really have to go?"
**
And just wanted to share a sneak peak of Hannah's Holiday pictures. We're still planning to go to Picture People to get a Family Picture together this weekend. (I'm posting these because I have the Portrait CD and Copyright Release)
She sucks her thumb ALL the time. I'm so glad I got a sweet picture, just the way she looks in action.
We have a picture of Hunter his first Christmas JUST like this above shot.
I HAVE to put these side by side! WHAT a busy week! We've been getting our house all ready to have about 15 people over for Dinner Saturday night. Just a couple more little things to do and then, I think we're done.
I've been working on Teacher Gifts so I'll wrap those up tonite to take to School tomorrow.
Just a couple more gifts to buy but I'm not stressing. They're Gift Cards so that's easy. I'm enjoying the Season with the family. This weekend, we're going to enjoy some Family time together. We're planning on watching some Christmas movies and we may go see Santa.
Hannah has her 6 month check up on Friday and she gets 4 more shots! She did great last time so I'm not worried. She may get her ears pierced this weekend at the mall too.
(Hunter told me he doesn't want her to because she'll probably cry. Aaawww...How sweet!)
--
I also need to find her a white satin gown. She's being dedicated at our church Sunday, January 4Th, and we're really looking forward to it! She's playing Baby Jesus this Sunday too. We had to talk to Hunter about not talking to her and to pretend she was Baby Jesus. He understands, but it was really funny!
Well, have a great day and God Bless! A week from today is Christmas...WOW!

Breakfast with the Stars

The first day in Disney, we went to Hollywood Studios and had reservations for the Character Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. It was so much fun! We had Breakfast with The Einsteins Leo and June, Jo Jo and Goliath.

"Look, Mom. I found Leo!" Hunter LOVED to see all the characters Hunter couldn't wait to introduce June to his sister, Hannah. SO sweet, we were so proud of him for being so thoughtful. It was the first thing he said to her. I guess he didn't want to get all the attention:)Hannah loved talking to June. She made ALL kinds of squeals and laughs.
My love bug couldn't wait to see June!
Jo Jo
Jo Jo got to visit with both the kids
Hunter had a great time dancing at the Hollywood & Vine!

Home Sweet Home

We're finally home from Florida and it's SO nice to be home. It's been busy since we got here but great. We went to Church on Sunday, visited our grandparents, and then I went Christmas shopping. I'm pretty much done, except for some Gift Certificates. No time to post any pics.
Tonite is our Sunday School Christmas Fellowship and then, I have to wrap the last couple presents. Hunter is really excited about Christmas and Hannah is cutting her first tooth. She's NOT very happy. Poor Girl! Hope you all have a great Monday. God Bless!

Magical Disney

Hello, DISNEY!
Well, we're here and it's just MAGICAL! I know when we leave, we won't be able to wait for the next trip! Hunter loved carrying his own little suitcase with books, his afghan his Maw Maw made him and his Mickey Mouse.
Our family, at Downtown Disney Saturday night. We had fun, doing a little shopping and playing.
Hunter had fun trying on different hats. He LOVES hats but hasn't picked one out he wants to buy yet. So far, he's gotten a new shirt, a box full of Mr. Potato Head and a large post card for his room. He had over $65 saved up!
"Dear Santa, I was FRAMED"
This is Hunter's new shirt he's modeling, while playing with the Lego's at Downtown Disney
And here's Hannah
She was wearing a little set that has Minnie Mouse on it. Her "ears" were a gift from someone that just happen to match with the red bow. It's unbelievable how many people stopped to see her!!

And here she is, tuckered out after a long day. This is her new Minnie Mouse that she loves to chew on. We knew she wasn't far from teething but she actually has one tooth coming through. We felt it! She's been a little more fussy and the first day, she was running a small fever. Thank Goodness for Tylenol and Orajel. It seems to help great! She's still having a blast at Disney

Ok, have a great Tuesday...I'm off to EPCOT today!

I'm On My Way

Well, we're leaving THIS morning for Disney World...YA! It's AMAZING how much you have to bring for two adults and two kids, one being an infant. WOW, Just WOW!

I probably won't be blogging but am bringing my computer only to check us in with the airport before coming home.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and weekend. God Bless!!

Oh Christmas Tree

I found this pink and blue paper at The Dollar Spot at Target. I thought it would be cute to use it for Hunter and Hannah, and use my other Disney paper from The Dollar Store for everything else. Hunter recognized it right away and asked if they were for him and Hannah

Here's our Christmas tree this year. We get a real tree every year and we thought about getting it when we get back from Disney. We couldn't wait, though. I wanted my house to be done when we get back. Just a little more shopping to do...no worries. The last couple presents I already know what to get, just a little short on time. I'll take care of that next weekend, when I get home. We're pretty much all packed up for our trip. Tonite, we just need to finish getting the cameras, batteries and stuff like that ready to go. Two car seats, two strollers, two suitcases, the camera, video camera, diaper bag, what a STASH! We were able to rent a mini van and I know it's going to come in handy.
After finishing some stuff up last night, I was able to sit at my scrapbooking table and make some invitations for my Family Dinner later in the month. I used the Joys of the Season cartridge, card function and one of the wreaths. It turned out so cute and it was so easy! I added some light green glitter, which I'll be wearing for the next couple days I'm sure..It always goes everywhere. Today, I'll finish my Disney tags. It's so relaxing to sit there, in front of that Cricut Expression and create. I cleaned my area up last week and when I finished playing, I had NO mess. There's a place for everything, including a big paper trash bag beside me. That's a new one for me and it was a nice change!
I'm planning to take my computer but just to download pictures and check in for the flight home. No blogging for me...We have a full week planned. Hope you all have a great weekend!
God Bless!

Christmas In The Air

Getting pictures of Infants is NOT as easy as it looks. This is Hannah, after Church Sunday in her first Christmas outfit that I picked up a while ago from Ross. (one of my favorite stores)

THIS is why it's so hard. She loves to play with her feet and shoes. LOVE those adorable fat legs!
Here's my Handsome Hunter. He's growing like a weed, I can hardly keep up with the clothes that fit him. After Church and his nap, we decorated the tree. He loves to hang the ornaments but we chuckled that he'd add them all in ONE area. He's my little Santa helper...
We received a monetary Baby Gift for Hannah and decided to use it for a Bumbo seat for her. She loves it! She's able to sit right by us and look all around. She enjoyed watching us decorate the tree.
Hunter found this Santa hat and thought it would be cute on Hannah. She didn't mind, and she laughed at Hunter a lot. They are good buddies!
My girl's sweet face...
And here's Hunter, adding the Angel on the tree.
YES, I know he looks funny in his mismatched pj's and tan socks. I think he's going to be a model since he loves to try on clothes!! ha ha It's usually his Woody gun holster, Woody hat, Holiday socks and a mixture of several outfits/pajamas. He enjoys it so it's interesting to see what he comes up with.
No pictures of the tree yet since we had Christmas boxes and stuff all around before last night. I had to feed the baby so Mike cleaned up and vacuumed for me. We need new stockings and we're hoping to get those on our trip.
-
I had hoped to be home all night but had to go to Walmart to pick up some jeans. I've been super down the last day or two. Not usually like me to dwell on the negative, but I've gained so much weight. I know a lot has to do with my current birth control, the Depo Provera shot. I'm starting a new pill when I get back from Disney and I'm hoping it'll be a good change.
-
We're also working on turning part of our garage into a work out area after the New Year. I know that after Christmas, I want to pick up Wii Fit. We can get our weight off and we're determined to do so. It's nice we want to do it together. We want to be healthy, and hopefully, it will help my Stomach issues also. I'm taking a Probiotic but can't tell a difference yet. I still have a lot of pain.
-
So, I got a new pair of jeans (a larger size..ugh) and a comfy red velour jogging set to take to Disney World. I'm satisfied. Complaining won't do anything about it so I'm thinking positive:)
-
Tonite, my plans are...
-cleaning my Dining Room, which has become a stock room for the gifts I need to wrap
-dusting
-making everyone Disney tags for our luggage, using my Cricut
-wrapping all my presents
--making invitations on my computer for my Christmas Dinner the week after we get home
(no handmade cards this time, just printed on decorative Christmas Poinsettia paper)
-making two thank you cards
-burning my Christmas candle, listening to Christmas music and enjoying the ambiance
-
I'll be busy but I know I'll have Hunter's help. He LOVES to help us. My little elf.
Hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day and God Bless!

Thankful for Family

Just wanted to post our family pictures from Thanksgiving day. We had a great time and the cousins had fun playing. The first picture was taken by my SIL because we forgot our tripod. The second picture was taken by setting my camera on a decorative pedestal.
It was a special day and we are so thankful for our family. We also visited our grandparents, who are in their 90's and not able to go out too much anymore. We took a big Thanksgiving meal over to them so they could enjoy the day also. Our Aunt takes care of them every day and she MORE than deserves a break.

After leaving our last stop, we stopped by Michael's to get a Cricut Cartridge on sale. What a madhouse! I got Joys of the Season then, and then, after selling another item on EBAY, I picked up the Cars cartridge on Saturday. I love them both. My MIL, two SIL's and I were at Wal-Mart at 3 A.M. Friday morning to get ready for shopping at 5. My SIL's got the Blue Ray DVD players and my MIL and I got the Cricut Expression! I had sold my Original Cricut already to help pay for the cost of this one so Mike said it was fine if I used this one now. Let me just say, this is ONE AWESOME MACHINE. I love it more every day. I'm making laminated Disney tags with our contact information for our luggage. THIS Saturday, we're headed to Disney World and my folks thought it would be cool to spot their bags easier, looking for their special tag.

Speaking of getting ready for the trip, last night, I put all the kid's clothes in their rocking chair so I can pack it this week. I, also, went through their closets and removed all the clothes they can no longer wear anymore. What a job! I can't believe how much they can't wear but at least I can get in their closets better now. Mike vacuumed their rooms after I was finished and then, I was done. My back was killing me from standing over 2 hours. Tonite, I need to put the Christmas boxes in the attic, vacuum the rest of the house, finish cleaning off our Dining room table and wrap some presents. It's a busy week but I think I'm FINALLY getting caught up...Sigh
I'd still like to decorate some Christmas ornaments for some gifts this year but not sure I'll have time to make them before our trip.

Well, I'm going to have my morning cup of coffee that my hubby just brought me. Have a Terrific Tuesday!!
