Monticello Memories

This weekend, my family and I went to
Monticello. It's simply beautiful there and holds lots of memories for me. First of all, I love historical places. Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin are my favorite historians. Second of all, my husband took me there for the day almost eight years ago and asked me to marry him. Yes, we still celebrate our dating anniversary so this was a very special weekend. We took the tour of the house, and then, literally, took time to smell the flowers. We took several good shots of the beautiful home and some close ups of different flowers. I really enjoyed the time we spent just walking, not in a rush to go anywhere. We really got to appreciate all that this beautiful country has to offer!
