Monday In The E.R. with Hannah

We spent most of Monday in the E.R. with Hannah. She wasn't getting ant better, in fact, she had gotten much worse. She was losing everything she ate and not wetting any diapers. I was very concerned about Dehydration, which she was. She also has Pneumonia! She was so exhausted. Her thumb gave her a lot of comfort during the stress.
It was awful when they inserted the I.V. They couldn't find her little veins, and tried her right arm and hand before being successful in the left arm. They had to tape her up to a small board so she would not move that arm. She was very upset!
She'd be asleep for about two minutes, and then, cry for about two minutes, until she finally went to sleep. Her doll made it all better.
Daddy left work to see his girl..
They gave Hannah two bags of fluids and kept her on the antibiotics. They wanted her to eat something before we left, and she actually kept it down. She slept good but moans in her sleep alot. She's still congested, and it seems to hurt her when she coughs. She, also, still has the high fever. She's been sleeping in the bassinet in our room the last couple nights so we can keep an eye on her. She's eating but still losing it all. We're so worried about her, but I'm sure after some rest, she'll be much better. She has an appointment with her Pediatrician today at 10. It's so hard to see her hurt.
Please keep our Hannah in your prayers!

So Thankful and Prayers Please

These are the boxes with all our stocking stuff...WOW. (We get stockings at my parents house too and consolidate them when we get home) And this is our Christmas tree, after arranging all our gifts. It's a tradition I always do the evening of Christmas Day. We had a wonderful Christmas! We really do appreciate all we have to be thankful for.

I'm just a little down for several reasons. My grandmother is in the hospital. She has Pneumonia right now and is having a hard time. It's hard for her to breathe, and talk. Our Papaw, Mike's grandfather, is in another hospital. He has some Infection in his feet. Both of these important people in our lives are in their 90's. I'm so thankful to still have them with us. I'm just concerned about them. And Hannah has been sick since Saturday. She has Bronchitis and a high fever. Even with Tylenol, she's still hot. It's so scary and when I called Ask A Nurse AND the Doctor On Call, they said to give it until Monday night. (48 hours) She's not eating well, gets sick when she has milk, and is very fussy, tired. She cries when she coughs so it must be hurting her. She slept in our room, in her bassinet so I could monitor her fever. I think the Tylenol is helping her sleep now. When it rains, it pours. I'll be so glad when she's better. And thinking about our grandparents. Hannah may be going to the Doctor's office or ER if she can't keep anything down. Take Care!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas from The Turnages
Hunter and Hannah, showing off their Christmas PJ's
Hunter couldn't believe that Hannah climbed out of his lap to look under the tree!
The stockings are OVERFLOWING!Look at what Santa left!
It's hard to believe that Christmas is here. We had Dinner with family and then, were home early to get ready for our big day. Hunter and Hannah got in their Christmas pajamas, and we read two Christmas stories. As tradition holds it, we always read Twas The Night before Christmas and then, The True Christmas Story. It was a great Family night. May God bless you on this special day, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus!

A Wonderful Weekend

Saturday night, we had our Family over for Dinner. We get together every Christmas to exchange presents with my Aunt Nancy, who goes away to her home for the HolidayNanny and Pop with Hunter and Hannah, their GREAT grandchildren
Uncle Mark with Aunt Kitty
Aunt Nancy, trying out her new Cat Pillow. She loves ANYTHING cats.
"Christmas, Through The Eyes Of A Child"
Hunter and Hannah were in the Kid's Christmas program at Church Sunday. Hunter is wearing the red wrap with a yellow hat. Hannah is playing Baby Jesus.
Angels You can tell Hunter wasn't feeling good. He's got a bad cough and cold.
All the kids did a great job on the program! It was really cute.
After Church, we came home and had lunch with my In Laws. They were watching my SIL's little girl. Hunter and his cousin wore themselves out playing so they layed down to rest in our den, while watching Cars.
After lunch, dessert and some coffee, we went to the mall to get pictures taken with Santa and to get Hannah's ears pierced.
Waiting for Santa
Little K started out shy but then, she really enjoyed seeing Santa!
Here's Hannah and I, right before she got her ears pierced.
I'm getting very nervous at this point....

Hannah wasn't making any noise so where I was, I couldn't hear anything or see her face. This was one of those, catch your breath, not making a sound yet , getting ready to scream faces. But all she did was whimper and then, she was fine as soon as I picked her up and held her. She did better than I did. I, actually cried a little. I thought she was going to scream for real. Maw Maw and Pa Pa took the kids and went for a walk.
This picture was just seconds after and she was over it already! She did great!
The kids ran into a friend from the Daycare and they played together in the food court.
Hannah, asleep in her bed, with her new earrings.
She got small gold ball earrings. She's so sweet!
It was just a wonderful weekend with family and the kids. We really got to relax and have some fun. Unfortunately, Hunter's cold and cough are worse and he's running a fever. He's really not feeling well at all so we're going to get him feeling better before Christmas. The poor guy, I just hate to see them hurt.
Well, take care and have a great Monday!!

I received this in an email and it was such a good reminder of what's important. It's not all about Visiting Santa at the mall, finishing up the shopping, making it to all the festivities but celebrating the wonderful birth of Jesus. May God bless you during this Holiday Season.

Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. And then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.

The Stockings Were Hung...

The Stockings were hung...
Mickey and Minnie stockings for us, Lightening McQueen and The Princesses for the kids I was hoping to get some new stockings for us this year. I looked in Disney and they had no matching ones. They had girlie styles but none for little boys. I found these at JCPenney, after getting home and on sale. We hadn't gotten any new ones for some time and I LOVE these.

This is "Hunter's shelf". He LOVES his Jingle Bell Rock Santa, which was, actually, a wedding present from a good friend of ours. He could dance all day to it. Then, there's the Veggie Tale Nativity Set that we bought a couple years ago from Agape. He loves it. When you hit the star up top, it sings. The last decoration is a train that lights up and goes around in a circle. It's really cute. Hannah likes the lights.

Well, gotta run. We're having our family over for Dinner tonite. My aunt goes away every year for Christmas so it gives us a chance to see her and exchange presents. I have to color my hair before a hair appointment this morning and then, coming home to get ready. Tomorrow, I'll pick up the last couple gift cards I need and I think we're taking the kids to see Santa. We may get Hannah's ears pierced tomorrow too. We'll see... Monday, we're having our Family Picture taken and then, we're done.

Hope you have a great weekend and God Bless. Please keep the family of Caylee Anthony in your prayers. I can't stop thinking about them and what they must be going through.

Lightening McQueen and Mater Visits

"Wow, Mom... MATER"
Hunter was SO excited to see McQueen and Mater at Disney. He couldn't wait to get his picture taken with them!
"I really have to go?"
**
And just wanted to share a sneak peak of Hannah's Holiday pictures. We're still planning to go to Picture People to get a Family Picture together this weekend. (I'm posting these because I have the Portrait CD and Copyright Release)
She sucks her thumb ALL the time. I'm so glad I got a sweet picture, just the way she looks in action.
We have a picture of Hunter his first Christmas JUST like this above shot.
I HAVE to put these side by side! WHAT a busy week! We've been getting our house all ready to have about 15 people over for Dinner Saturday night. Just a couple more little things to do and then, I think we're done.
I've been working on Teacher Gifts so I'll wrap those up tonite to take to School tomorrow.
Just a couple more gifts to buy but I'm not stressing. They're Gift Cards so that's easy. I'm enjoying the Season with the family. This weekend, we're going to enjoy some Family time together. We're planning on watching some Christmas movies and we may go see Santa.
Hannah has her 6 month check up on Friday and she gets 4 more shots! She did great last time so I'm not worried. She may get her ears pierced this weekend at the mall too.
(Hunter told me he doesn't want her to because she'll probably cry. Aaawww...How sweet!)
--
I also need to find her a white satin gown. She's being dedicated at our church Sunday, January 4Th, and we're really looking forward to it! She's playing Baby Jesus this Sunday too. We had to talk to Hunter about not talking to her and to pretend she was Baby Jesus. He understands, but it was really funny!
Well, have a great day and God Bless! A week from today is Christmas...WOW!
