A Great Saturday:)

Well, when I got up this morning, I thought I was going to go see Spiderman 3 but it was hardly playing in the movie theater. So, we decided to see Ratatouille.
I wasn't crazy about going to see it, since I think it was the first weekend out. But, I guess since it was an afternoon movie, it wasn't busy at all. That little rat was so cute!! Hunter really liked it. He giggled too and really seemed to enjoy it

We went out for a Starbucks Coffee on the way home and enjoyed a Molasses cookie. YUM!

Then, we came home, Mike insisted on making dinner and we watched Toy Story 2. Mike ran up to Lowe's and got a new ceiling fan and new steps for our attic. The ceiling fan is done already in our kitchen and the steps we can do this week. The other steps are broke so we can't close the door completely to the attic and our AC/Heat is going right up.

Mike has to work tomorrow and I have nursery. He would have gone in today but he did oil changes for the cars that were way past due and he also washed, waxed and vacuumed them out.
I'm so proud of him. He is SUCH a hard worker. I worked inside and played with Hunter until we went off.

I stopped by Michael's to get some adhesive and they had a ton of stuff on sale. They had Martha Stewart accordion photo albums for $5 so I got a red one and a pink one for a gift. I got The Paper Company "T" note cards for $3, some Deja Views Sticker Tablets for $3 (I got School Days, All Boy, and Spring) some Making Memories brads and mini paper blossoms. Yippee..It was a small and fast pit stop but I love my goodies.

I cleaned my scrap corner today and made a card. I didn't get as much cropping as I wanted to get done. I was dusting and vacuuming and my eyes had a major allergy reaction. They're all swollen so I thought I better take it easy. We got home later than we expected today but it's ok. It was wonderful. Tomorrow, we have nursery at church and then I'm planning to see my Grandparents. While Hunter takes his nap, I'm going to do the cleaning I was going to do today. It'll probably be easier with him asleep and Mike at work. It's quiet and I get so much done.

Well, I'm signing off for the evening. I'm really tired. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Float Nite at th Pool

Momma steals a kiss from her lil' Pumpkin...He LOVES to give them and we love getting them!

My Wonderful Family

Caught stealing another kiss...LOL!

This is the life....isn't it? (You'd think we were on an island, waiting for another drink..J/K!
Momma, swooshing Hunter around in the water...and him giggling profusely!
Grandma and Grandad; It's all about the kid, huh?
Karla, with her son, Karson. Hunter had a ball playing with him!!

Karen, Karla's sister, watching her nephew while Mom plays with Karson
Hunter gave the new baby kisses...How Sweet!
We had a wonderful time at the pool. Every Thursday is Float Nite, where you can take big floats in the big pool. Hunter gets cold and a little worried , though so only wants to be in the baby pool. We were not alone and there were a bunch of kids in the water so he fun!! Grandma and Grandad have Just as much fun as him...LOL! They're big kids with him and he loves it. How wonderful they are to their Hunter.
We had to leave early since it started storming. But then, it never rained and the thunderstorm sounds/lights passed on. We had a TERRIBLE storm last night. I didn't even want to put Hunter in his bed I was so scared. I watched lightening strike a tree and then fall on the house nearby several years ago. I respect God's work. I just have a little fear of it. So, we turn the computer off, tv, all of it. My mom also told us years ago that her grandmother's tv caught fire during a storm so it doesnt hurt to be careful. Hunter loves to play in Momma's bed and enjoyed watching it. He just kept saying "bad storm" and laughed at the lightening. He didn't seem to get scared except for some of the really close ones and then he just held me so tight. It was wonderful but I dont want him to be scared like me:) It just felt so good to hold him and be near him, KWIM?
Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Mike is doing oil changes and then we're going to see Spiderman 3. I'm going to come home and make a nice meal for Hunter and Mike and I want to dedicate the evening to watching movies with the boys and SCRAPBOOKING!
I can't wait! Just R&R for us this weekend. Mike has to work tomorrow so I'm going to be doing my cleaning. (My house is clean but cleaning out Hunter's closet and our other closets and office)What a great weekend...I've been looking forward to it ALL WEEK!
Let me get off this computer...My boys are MY LIFE! Going to go be with them now...

These are taken with my Sony P&S. My DSLR doesn't see sand and water, usually unless we're there for that and not to play:)

Fun with Friends

These are pictures from Dinner at Plaza this past week with Robin and Drew. We had a great time and it was really nice to see Rob again. We had really lost touch for a bit...Life does that to you sometimes. But when you have a special friend, it's nice how you never lose touch completely. It might be a call every so often and a Christmas card and a visit but you never completely lose touch. Hopefully, we can catch up again soon. It was nice, just being ourselves. We didn't have to be someone we weren't or try with everything we had to please them. We could be who we were and it was fine. That's what my friends are to me...I'm so thankful for those true people in my life. I thank God every day for them

I tried for years to be who people wanted me to be. I did things so I'd make people happy. You know what I learned? If people aren't going to like you, they'll find every reason NOT to like you. I made myself sick trying to please people but now I have a whole new aspect on life. Love me for me or don't love me.

The rest of the week has been pretty crazy. I was finally home last night with my boys and it was great! We went to the pool since it was Float Night. It was so much fun, but we had to leave early since it started storming. Hunter loves the Baby Pool since he can play with his toys, walk around himself and not have to have us so close by him

He got his new Dora in the mail yesterday so he had an awesome time:)

Mike has to work Saturday so I think we're going to the pool again. While Hunter naps, I'm cleaning out closets, and finishing up paying some bills...UGH...hate it. Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to pay them? Yeah, right.. Hey, a girl can dream

Saturday night, I'm cooking a special Weight Watchers meal for Mike and Hunter, cleaning my scrap corner, hoping to get muchas cropping done and watching a movie with my boys=:) ya!!

July 4th is almost here...ready for some fun. I *LOVE* Summer! We're headed to NC next weekend; fun on the boat, swimming and sun! I'm looking forward to swimming since Memorial Day I couldn't, due to my eye surgery

Have a wonderful weekend..I'll post pool pictures tomorrow!!

Well, I'm going to get ready for work.

Busy Busy Busy

Just a quick little shot of my little boy I took Sunday. We usually stop by Wendy's on the way home from church. Healthy and Fast before Hunter's nap. (and our nap THIS Sunday since we both had a pretty bad headache) I LOVE this child!! That smile and little face just melts my heart!!

Anyway, it's been a busy week but a pretty productive one. (although I've been late coming home every night)
Monday was my Weight Watchers meeting
Tuesday was a Mary Kay Party at work
Tonite, we're going out to dinner with friends

I'm SO coming straight home Thursday:) I really need a pedicure but I think I'll wait a while. In our spare time, after Hunter went to bed, we've got laundry finished, the house is clean and I got to fit a little blogging in after packing my lunch. I made a yummy salad and some fat free, sugar free cheesecake pudding. YUM!

Do you ever pack your lunch or fix a meal ahead of time and just want to eat it NOW?
BUT out of points for the day

I ran an errand and helped a family member during lunch on Tuesday so didn't get a chance to have something at home. I stopped by Taco Bell since I could run through the drive thru and eat pretty quick. WOWSERS...what a terrible way to start, right? But I pulled it off, got my veggies, milk, and water in for the day. (and borrowed o points..How COOL is that?)

I guess I better get going. I have an 8:30 meeting and a 4pm Post Op appointment. My eyes are really adjusting great. I just hate going without my glasses. I hope that will change. I feel like such a nerd.
(and you KNOW I'm going through my Mid Life Crisis right now, Jess and Lynn...LOL!)
Have a great Hump Day!! Looking forward to a nice weekend. Planning to clean my scrap corner in my den, cropping a bit and working on some new layouts for my work scrapbook. We may even go to Water Country. Mike had to work last Saturday so it will be nice to spend some quality time with us all together. We do that alot but I know we just don't take the time to appreciate it.

PS: I love this song on my blog! Do you ever feel really happy, like your life is just better than it ever has been? I just thank God for all I have to be thankful for and that I'm healthy, and blessed in so many ways.

Sorry if I seem way too bubbly tonite...Anyone that knows me knows I'm a very positive person. Sure, I COULD sit around and be negative and think about not having enough time or money or not pleasing everyone but life is WAY too short to sweat the small stuff. It's been beautiful (and hot) here this week and I guess I'm just enjoying all of God's work. Take care and hope you enjoy the day as well:)

Another New Start

Well, I finally did it. I rejoined Weight Watchers. I went regularly before having Hunter but stopped going to meetings when I found out I was pregnant. I DID still follow the diet during pregnancy since my OB/GYN thought the program is wonderful. I'm happy to report that after having a 10 pound 6 ounce, 2 weeks early little boy, I only gained 27 pounds, thanks to Weight Watchers. I've been eating healthy with my family for a while but thought it was time I got the motivation and support that really helps me. I can't wait to start, and Mike is following it with me so that makes life so much easier. I'm thankful for our healthy lifestyle that we have tried to pass on to our son. I think it's so important right now while he goes through such an impressionable age. (of course, it's NO problem for Hunter since he LOVES fruits and veggies:)

I made this card for my friend, Lynn that our office is going to sign. She lost an aunt who was, also a very special friend. She had Cancer and she will be missed by so many people. Please remember her in prayer, as she is at the funeral today.

Ok, Gotta run to work. Hope everyone has a great day. I'm SO looking forward to starting my "OFFICIAL" diet today:)

Dora Fun

Just some quick picks of Hunter's new toys. He loves them! He's been carrying them everywhere he goes since he got them, Saturday. He still had some birthday money left and he fell in love with them when another girl at the pool had them. We really wanted the Dora and Boots figures but evidently, it's not available anymore. I found them on EBay for the price they were in the store, so I'm happy. Too bad they don't make a Diego similar to this but he doesn't mind.

Another great weekend. I got a lot of cleaning done, Saturday after coming back from the pool and putting Hunter down for a nap. Sunday, we finished cleaning and took a nap when Hunter did. I was having some serious Allergy issues and a bad headache. It was nice to just relax.

And, of course, got my blog back up and running, after redecorating Friday night. I hope I can keep it up. It's fun and it's nice communicating with others.

Have a great Monday! Looks like another beautiful day. I'm getting ready for work and then to a Weight Watchers meeting right after. Mike went grocery shopping last night while I got Hunter ready for bed. I'm having a yummy salad for lunch and a cucumber with vinegar for dessert:)

Child's Play

This is Melissa and she's become Hunter's lil' buddy. We sat with her and her mom at the pool Saturday and had a really nice visit. Her mom and I played when we were about their age and Melissa goes to the same Eye Specialist as me. Isn't she cute at 3 with those glasses? It reminds me alot of myself since I got my first pair at 2. I hated them and would hide my glasses all over the house. I even hid them outside several times and when my dog found them, he wouldn't hand them to me; only my parents!! What a smartie!
This week is my 4 week checkup for my Eye Surgery and I can't wait. I have seen SO much improvement in the last couple weeks since my eye surgery. I have Congenital Estropia.
I was born with it and just had my 4th surgery. My eyes crossed when I was a child so I had surgery at 9 months, 2 years old, 15 years and just recently at age 31. I know that my parents made the right decision because it had to be done but I couldn't imagine watching your baby,(literally) being taken into surgery. Just the thought makes me nervous. My doc will be checking Hunter in September to make sure that he doesn't have any problems, similar to mine. No one else has this in my family so not sure where I got it but it's ok. I know I'm in God's hands and I trust that he is in control of this small condition.
We had a blast at the pool. We sat at the baby pool so Hunter could play without someone holding him, like in the big pool. He was ecstatic! He loved his freedom and was such a good little boy. He makes me so proud. It's amazing how much you love your kids.
He adored this Splash with me Dora doll, that she shared with him and is safe for the water He liked her doll and she wanted his sand bucket and rubber ducks. I went to get him the Dora today and could only find her with 2 little children. I wanted the one that comes with Boots. I settled and came home and ordered it from Ebay..LOL! I had to have it..CUTE!
Anyway I'm going to go to bed. I'm very tired but got a lot done today and need to rest up before going to the pool and church tomorrow. Good night and God Bless!
