A Day full of Emotions

Well, today was my MRI and I feel like a weight has been lifted off me, in some ways. Now, I just play the waiting game. Hopefully, the test results will be in by Friday. They said that by the time I left the office, the test was already sent to Williamsburg for a specialist to read, either late this afternoon or Wednesday morning. A report is written and faxed to my doctor, probably by Thursday. I know I'll be taking my stress medicine for sure THIS week. I took one right before I left work and it's a good thing. The MRI is scary if you are, at all, claustrophobic, which I am. It relaxed me and I closed my eyes most of the time. It lasted about 40 minutes because they stopped about 75% done, injected me with a fluid that would show contrast if I did have lesions and then finished the test. It was REALLY loud, almost like heavy metal music. I know that sounds crazy but it was high pitched radio frequencies. She said some people have to be sedated so they can take the test...I completely understand. You go through a device that is similar to a CAT scan, your head is inside a holder so it will not move and then you wear a plastic cage over your face to insure no movement. UGH! It wasn't terrible but I REALLY don't want to live it over any time soon.
SO, Mike suggested today would be a great day to introduce me to coffee. He took me to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I hope I spelled and pronounced correctly...I'm not coffee knowledgeable but know that I **LOVE** it. I've sipped a regular cup too and liked it so I don't think I'm hooked on the frilly stuff...but it was yummy. And now, I guess it will be gone after Thanksgiving. :( It's a day in history. Mike always liked Starbucks but got a gift card for his bday and has since fell in love. He said he has really enjoyed getting a cup in the mornings before work. However, just to clear up any confusion, he really enjoyed ALL his bday gifts:) They were all perfect!!

Praying you get good results. I have never had an MRI, but my Mom has had a ton of them (resulting from a brain aneuryism she had about 11 years ago) and she says they are the WORST thing to go through. So, I hate that you had to do that!
The Pumpkin Spice Latte sounds wonderful! I will have to go try one of those!
Love your list! May have to use it for my next Random tuesday posting.
